Nutritional Info on Geese
Anyone know nutritional info on Canadian Geese? All I have been able to find info on is Domestic Geese and I don't know if the basic values would be the same or not. I live on a lake and Geese become "available" to me every so often and was just wondering how healthy (or unhealthy) they are for eating.

I would think it is probably pretty close to the same. The wild Goose may have a bit less fat though. Especialy durring migration.

I entered goose in FitDay and found wild goose, heres results for roasted goose in a 6oz bonless portion (after cooking) 346cals, 25g fat, 0g carbs , 29g protien. Looks like a grade A pro/fat meal.
Contrary, domesticated goose in 6oz bonless portion is 405cals, 22g fat, 0g carbs, 49g protien. The protien prolly comes from the feed they get instead of wild grasses and bugs.
