Wake up for a shake during sleep?

I have my last meal before bed - usually whey & flax. I sleep about 6 - 8 hrs. Three times a week I then do cardio on an empty stomach.
Should I wake up about 4 hrs into my sleep, take another shake, then go back to sleep? I've read it will promote anabolism, and the 4 hours of remaining sleep would be sufficient to consider the cardio "empty stomach". Thanks.

i dont see ne real significant value that will have. IMO you will benefit more in your workouts by getting a full 8 hours straight of sleep

i agree. if you are like me (and a lot of others here) you may wake up at least once in the night to go to the toilet. if you feel it necessary you can have a shake waiting to down after the bathroom before you hit the sack again, but I wouldn't wake up especially for it. Also I would save the whey for PWO and have a slower digesting protein powder (egg, casein etc.) or a naturally slow source such as cottage cheese.

If the body is out of nutrients, asleep or not, what is it going to pull from? Recovery doesn't stop while you are sleeping, h*ll if anything it's HEIGHTENED at that time, so having ample amino acids in the bloodstream is a wise thing to do.
