Macro Question
I was thinking about this the other day. Where do calories come from if theyre not from protein, fats or carbs? Take a can of tuna for example
32g protein x 4 = 128 calories
.5g fat x 9 = 4.5 calories
0g carbs x 4 = 0 calories
132.5 calories... but the can says 150

Make sure you read the label right.
Often it says misleading things such as the following (numbers are made up ):
Serving size: 130g
Servings per container: 1.5
Calories per serving: 150
Nutritional info per 100g:
fat = x
pro = y
carbs = z
So you see there the calories are referring to a serving whereas the macro breakdown refers to per 100g. Don't get confused between the two

I know about that, and thats not it... Its the same with chicken, eggs, pretty much everything i look at the label for. Macros dont equal up to total calories??

I think the FDA allows them to round the number either up or down depending on which is closer. However, 134 to 150 is quite a bit of rounding.
