    Chicken breast with salsa?

Is it ok to eat my chicken breast with salsa and pepper? Salsa has no fat and only 3 g of carbs. I can't just eat my chicken bland.

    Is it ok?

u goin for a pro/carb or pro/fat meal with the chicken?

also try marinading it in something. i use an asian teriyaki sauce all the time that has like 0-1g carb in it. its good fi you have some chicken with rice and veggies and stir fry it!

is the 3g of carb all sugar? if so personally i wouldn't use it, but it wont prevent you from losing weight or anything. IMO go for it, i use salsa on a lot of things, recently tuna with some hot sauce.

When you purchase any salsa product, compare all the carb counts and what is sugar and what is from the veggies within. You can choose the lowest one because a lot of them do differ. That Pace sh*t and those "commercial" salsas always have tons of sugars in them.

to be honest, nothing tastes better than fresh salsa. Even if you aren't a kitchen wizz in terms of chopping just use one of those mini blenders with the chopping attachments. The ingredients can vary infinitely according to your preference (both in terms of taste and sugar contents of the veg). Try a combo of any of these:

    -green, red, yellow bell pepper
    -spanish onion
    -red onion
    -spring onion
-avocado (if its for P/F meals)
    -chillies
-herbs (so many to try: parsely, coriander, thyme, rosemary, fennel, taragon)
    -etc. etc. etc.

Also they will be A LOT healthier. Often the preprepared salsas have various ingredients to increase shelf life. But most importantly, the nutrients and flavor of fresh salsa vs. bottled is like night and day!

i make my own salsa too i grille corn on the cob then you cut it off. red onions, avacado a very small amount of extra virgin olive oil and it tastes so good on chicken. also i take chicken breasts cut slits in it on both sides and rub some cajun spice on them. massage it in real good. tastes so good

Mmmm, cajun spice Once again guys just watch out. Many inferior spices come with only like 50% spices and the rest a filler (often wheat or maize meal). Just check the ingredients if you buy those preprepared spice mixtures that they contain ONLY spices. Optimally though pay a visit to an indian/oriental store and get a whole lot of whole spices. They last forever and taste better when you freshly roast/grind them.
allsaucedup - sounds yummy, though I would leave out the corn personally (high carbs, high GI).
