    confused with pre/post meals

Ok.. i understand the whole reasoning and all..... but lets say you have carbs/pro before you workout, and your weight lifting is a short 45 min one.... then immediately after you eat pro/carbs again...... aren't you still digesting the carbs and pro??? or is most of it used up while working out?

and is it really essential to take in a lot of carbs b4 a workout? (i did search but I wanna see what everyone has to say and why...)
    thanx guys!

I never eat a real heavy carb meal before I work out. I always give myself at least 1-2 hours if eating a solid meal with alot of carbs in it. If I have a protein shake with some carbs in it, I limit that to about 50 grams or so and that would be no sooner than 30 mins prior to my workout.

I would say that you body is going to use the food that is readily available before going into its storage.

I wouldnt say it is essential to take in alot of carbs before a workout if you are eating proper though out the day prior to your work out session. I would be most concerned with post workout meals

Pro/Carb isn't necessary pre-workout. In fact, it will have little to no bearing on your workout, unless you wait several hours to work out. But I believe your digestive system speeds up as you lift, and you will go through those carbs quicker than normal.
