    Wine while trying to diet??

Ok been devising a diet and workout regime for my dad who is 50. Anyways so far i think everything ive devised will work for him and he should be able to follow. Heres the thing. He loves his wind, in fact he probably goes through about 2 bottle over the weekend. How detrimental will this be on him trying to lose weight. Its gonna be the one thing i wont be able to get him to totally give up but just wondering what i can do about it?

Alcohol is bad when dieting. I'm not going to sugar coat anything here for you.

well,,,, i agree wine has sugar.. 2 bottles over weekend is a lil nuts... but i usually have a glass of red wine with at least one meal a day.... wine is a miricle potion, and works well for me.......

"Take a little wine for thy stomachs sake".

Notice the key word here "little" not two bottles.
