2nd post-workout meal right b4 bed?
Fellas,
I am aware that you still should consume carbs w/ your 2nd PostWorkout meal even if it is before you go to bed. However, should you lower your carb intake somewhat? Meaning changing the amount from 80 grams to 40 grams. Or should I stick w/ the original plan?
Thanks

Do you literally take your last bite and call it a night? Or is there "some" kind of time in between?
If your pwo amounts are correct for your recovery needs (found through experimentation mostly) you can literally call it a night immediately, as what you have ingested will be used solely for repair/recovery, not lending itself to unused fuel and fat storage.

Yes sir. I eat my 2nd PW meal, brush my teeth, and hit the sack.
Thanks for the info.

Your body is like a dry plant yearning for water 30-45 mins following your workout. Like Swole said, get your 2nd pwo meal in and call it a night. I'd venture to say your body can handle more than 40 grams of carbs for your p-pwo meal, but start at 40 and adjust amounts accordingly.
