Would shepherds pie be a good meal for bulking up, using drained lean ground beef. Would this be a good Pro/Carb? Should I rinse the beef after I cook it?

I'd suspect there are many variations in how to prepare this dish.
If you could list the recipe, ingredients used, etc., I'd speculate that would be a ton easier to draw a conclusion.

Well there is no recipe that I really use!Quote:

Well, for bulking I suppose it's okay depending upon when you use it.
I'd make sure I use 4%, still drain it w/hot water, then dump it in the pan and re-season it. (if u season it)
Then make sure there's not a lot of fat in the creamed corn, and make the mashed potatoes w/no butter.
I.E., I'd aim to try to make this as clean of a protein/carb meal as I could.
