    Never have eaten salmon

Ok for a pro/fat meal I was planning on grilling some salmon with a tbsp of extra virgin olive oil cooked in. Is the olive oil necessary? Will that be too much fat?

Also, I've never eaten salmon before. Do I just go to the seafood section at my grocery store and ask for a single serving of salmon? How many ounce cut should I ask for that would be good for a single serving?

And if I grill it at night, can I put it in tupperwear and reheat it in the microwave at work the next day?

olive oil is fine, grill it until its like a dark pink color. you can put in fridge and eat tomorrow (heat up with microwave) salmon is my favorite fish!

i dunno how many oz's bro. just curious how old are you? not trying to make fun of you.
    >>just go there and youll see the salmon in the showcase. some will be big and others small, you can ask them to weigh it and tell them if you want a certain oz size and theyll try and find one closest to your desired value.
i usually say 'id like salmon'
    guy: which one?
i: (pointing to a piece i like) that one!
    done!

yeah its real easy. if your feeling like cheating while you eat the salmon you can cook it in a frying pan filled with an olympic sized pool of butter. droooooooooooool

Go to the countert and ask for a pound of Salmon....what you don't eat tonight you can eat tomorrow.

Get a little rosemary and garlic as well. Place a twig of rosemary on the fish after rubbing it down with garlic (if you like garlic) then splash a little olive oil on her and chunck her on the grill. Make sure you have a clean grill and make sure it's hot before you place the fish on. If not then it'll stick to the grill and that's not fun. If you'd rather you can toss it in the oven and cook it for about ten too fiftenn minutes at 350 then after that time turn on the broiler and let it brown.

i say go with the salmon filet as opposed to the steak. If you get a good cut you can get it without any bones in it. Picking the bones out of the salmon steak is a pain! If your getting into the seafood try swordfish steaks, tuna steaks, and red snapper....all are great tasting

The steak has more bones then the filet. Ask for the boneless filet.

How much salmon fillet do you guys eat at a time (like how many ounces before cooked)?

Also I heard that when I buy salmon I should ask for wild salmon. Is that true? Why is wild salmon better?

Wild salmon tastes much better and it is much higher in Omega-3 fatty acids.

I've heard the same thing but too me salmon is salmon....it all tastes good. I generally cook a single fillet each time and can polish off the whole thing at one sitting.....maybe a pound or two.

It would taste most satisfying if you yourself caught, cleaned, and cooked it yourself. Or stood in the river and nabbed a jumping one grizzly bear style.
