    Whey at breakfast

For my bedtime meal I have a Miccelean protein shake with Hood carb countdown dairy beverage and 1 tbsp of flax oil. Than when I wake up after sleeping for 8 hours, I have for breakfast a 1/2 cup of oatmeal, a cup of green tea, and 5 egg whites.

I figure the eggwhites will SLOWLY supply protein throughout the day until my next meal.

My question is, should I add 1 scoop of a whey protein shake to my breakfast as well (along with the oats, green tea, and egg whites)? Seeing I haven't had any protein for 8 hours should I get some fast acting protein (the whey shake) AND a slow acting protein (eggwhites)?

Or would I be fine with just the egg whites for my protein at breakfast?

I think each egg white only has around 2.5-3 grams of protein. The oats probably have 5 grams. I would add a cup of cottage cheese, and use a yolk.

5 whites is 17.5 grams of pro.

Good if you are a 78 lb. woman.

Well all comedy aside, I think I will have 1 scoop of whey and 4 egg whites along with 1/2 cup of oats and a cup of green tea for breakfast.

You can put whey in your oatmeal if you'd like... I do that sometimes... better than just cinnamon for a change...
