red meat?
Whats the leanest , cheapest red meat??

not sure what's the cheapest...i always go with whatever's on sale.
if you can find cheap meat - flank steak, etc - it's usually a little tough, but pretty lean. that's always a good option IMO.
it's not nearly as lean...but everyonce inawhile ya gotta splurge on a good juicy (fatty) porterhouse...

top round is the leanest there is. . .and you can even cook it on the foreman and it taste good

i just buy ground beef at a&p or pathmark and get 90-93% lean.. and use half the package as my PWO meal with brown rice. Lean enough and cheap as hell :P

I buy the 70-80% lean ground beef for ~1.20/lb, then cook it, strain it and wash it with water, makes it something like less than 4 g/fat per 4oz. Red meat doesnt get much leaner or cheaper than that.
