Question What are your opionions about eating before going to sleep.

I pretty much always eat something like cottage cheese, egg whites, or drink a protein shake mixed with a teaspoon of Flax before going to sleep- do you think this leads to a storing of bodyfat? Or do you guys follow the don't eat for 3 hours before you go to bed (I haven't done this for years, but maybe that would help in losing bodyfat?) I feel like I can't fall asleep if I'm hungry. What best for your body? -to starve or give it some nutrients throughout the night?

I may be wrong, but aren't your growth levels the highest those first few hours of sleep? Anyway, I take a dose of glutamine, and a meal as close to "bed time" as I can, then eat when I wake up. Works for me

I always eat some chicken breast or egg protein or even a protein shake befoe I go to bed. If I don't it will take me forever to go to sleep and then I'll wake up like an hour later and go down and eat something that I really don't want to eat, something fattening.

I just ate a 1/2 container of Knudson cottage cheese with 2 packets of Splenda, 1/3 cup fiber 1 cereal and 1/8 cup of peanuts. Damn it was good. GOOD NIGHT.

I usually eat some eggs or tuna or something like that before bed. No carbs for me though, if you have trouble with hunger just eat a shitload of spinach or something (high fiber veggies fill you up with low chances of being stored as body fat.) Also I take glutamine and ZMA before bed and I sleep like a champ.

Now I may take in some glutamine before bed but I rarely try to eat right before bed.

I would just eat a small portion of protein with almost zero carbos. Unused carbs will turn to fat - but at the same time, starving your body for the length of your rest will slow down your metabolism. So, I suggest "feeding" your body protein, but not a huge, heavy portion and stay away from carbs and sugars before bedtime.

If I really ripped my muscles apart that day and im sore I usually down a huge dose of protein before I goto bed and rest. I always felt that it helped repair better that way and also i wont wake up famished. Then again, im not always right
