I was thinking about premaking some shakes w/ some flax to down when I wake up at night 2 piss. How many people do this and how effective do u think it is?
i just drink a protien shake with some peanut butter right before bed to last me through the night.
I have never been able to sleep through the night, so while Im up I eat. what harm can it do.
I go for a shake usually but a slower digesting protine is probaly better.
no fat cottage cheese is anothe favorite.
it would be very effective..
however.. with enough test, i don't have to worry about a catabolic effect..
Never really believed it was necessary, but than again it may just be a personal preference/need.
I would never set my alarm to get up for the meal, but if i generally get up around the same time each nite, then i may. Otherwise, i think if you ate good enough in your last meal that should suffice. Also, its hard for me to go back to sleep once im up. For me, the trouble of not getting back to sleep, is not worth the benefits of the shake. Would actually impede my recovery.
sounds crazy, but i sleep eat in the middle of the night,so i have to hide any fatty foods before i go to bed.Quote:

I am guilty of this I never sleep through the nite I prefer fruit to eat but am a bad boy when nothing else is on hand.
i think thqat a goodnights sleep is more important then a nite time pro/fat meal. but hell, if your up, EAT EAT EAT!! if i am having trouble sleeping for w/e reason and cant sleep then i just keep eating every 2 hours until i do fall asleep.
