Potatoes?
Whats a good way of eating potatoes. I can't have any salt or butter. Tonight I had 2 small baked potatoes with salt-free substitute, they were ok.

yea but sour cream and cheese are kind of fatening and I'm starting a pre-contest diet next week and I don't know if the manager at my gym is giving me the exact diet or just how much of protein, fat, and carbs I can have, and I make up the diet.

try making a salad. boil the potatoes. add chopped tomatoes, parsely. green onion, black pepper, and red pepper. If you can you could add a little bit of olive oil to it. Mix it up and eat it with some steak or chicken. Eat it all the time. Trust me tastes alot better than a plan dry potato and not too many extra calories.

potatoes arn't the greatest pre-contest source of carb, I'd go with sweet potatoes lower cals, carbs, and GI and taste good plain. But if you can't dig that then try some I can't believe it's not butter spray.

sorry to have to say, but sweet potatoes are actually higher in carbs than normal potatoes (i too found this out and was shocked cause I was eating sweet potatoes like crazy until i find this out). normal potatoe is around 20g/100 of carbs, sweet potato is about 26g/100. try something like butternut. it tastes awesome (better than the other 2 in my opinion) and its only like 10-11g/100 of carbs
