Timing Food Intake Around Cardio & Weights

Is it true that you should not eat protein/complex carbs (i.e., oats/b. rice) within 2hrs after cardio, but rather eat a protein/fat only meal? I assume a protein/carb PPWO meal is okay, correct?

Also, should you do cardio on an empty stomache or after a protein/complex carb meal? I've recently taken SwoleCat's advice and begun doing cardio in the morning (for me, has to be very early A.M.) and weight training in the afternoon/evening. So I'm trying to figure out whether or not I need to get up an hour earlier to eat before my cardio. Thanks.

if u do it within 60-70% of ur MHR u wont lose muscle so ive heard,i eat pro/fat 45 mins after cardio then my next meal would be pro/carb its up 2 u really if ur seein good results with wut ur doin now dont change its a myth that u have to change things well unless they stopped workin
