    how much coffee is too much?

    I have about 4-5 cups a day, just wondering how much is too much?

    That's fine..... if you are drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated I see no problem with it. I take about 600mg of Caffeine everyday or more sometimes and it has never had a negative effect on me.

    Agreed. I don't think it the 4 - 6 cups of coffee that causes the problem. It is the cream and sugar most people add.

    I drink black coffee throughout the day. I love it...I don't think I could stop if i wanted to..

    there's no real distinguishable cut-off point..you'd have to know personal how much is 'too much' for you.I can polish off most of a bottle when studying and not get the shakes (or insomnia).. but some people can't take 2 cups

    I like the slight kick I get from coffee, but hate it when it is bitter, almost sour in taste. This happens when you drink TOO much coffee, and also when using instant coffee powder (even though it's just pure coffee). My preferred method is making a plunger full of Italian espresso powder. That way I can get it 5-6 smaller 'shots' throughout the day.
