How do you guys buy your chicken?
Just wondering what type of chicken you buy and how it is most efficient. I usually have the frozen boneless/skinless type but it takes forever to thaw. Is there a more efficient way? Can you keep it in the refrigerator instead of the freezer? Thanks.

I have a deal on chx its called Smart Chicken. Its just bonless skinless but they are big and I pay 2.89/lb. We Missouri Natives live right near Chicken & Gizard distrubuters.
But I keep a few lbs. in the fridge for the week. It's good in the fridge for 5-6 days usually, if I have any extra I put it in the Freezer.

I just picked up a couple of big bags of frozen chicken breast strips from BJ's. I think Tyson makes then. They aren't the breaded/fried ones. they are grilled chicken breasts, cut into strips. I grab a handful and nuke them for three minutes and they taste like they just came off the grill.

Just go out back and pick one out. Chop his head off and eat him. Drink the blood for extra "oomph"

Thanks for all responses, I'll definitely look for them. As far as turkey, I usually buy the turkey burger 1/4 patties. Has 170cals, 21g carbs, 9g fat and 0 carbs. Cook on the George Forman, add a little hot sauce and they're good to go.

Frozen boneless from costco. I don't bother to thaw them. From the freezer to the grill. Good enough

For the last month i have been going to Kroger and buying those $4.99 roasted chickens, just pick them apart for my meals and warm them up (already baked).
Has been working wonders on my overall food bill.

I scam the sales papers for the grocery stores and buy up whatever they have the best sale price on. Picked up 20 pounds of skinless chicken breast for 1.99 per pound last week. I've a freezer and stock up when opertunity knocks. I love it when salmon or talopia's on sale.........I'll buy that at 20-30 pounds when it is. It's gotten to where I like more fish than chicken....but my tastes go in cycles...like everything else.

Mostly from Costo/Sams club. Sometimes I'll go to a butcher and get a hog or 1/2 a cow.
*Juggy in cycles? Does this include your period?

From Costco to the freezer to the microwave (to thaw) and then to the grill. I usually cook a bunch of boneless/ skinless for the week so I am not spending time during the week to cook it.
