I played all my life.
During the season, all I was worried about was game performance, not my BF% or the way I looked. It was all about flying for 3 periods.
Before the game I would eat something moderate in protein (a peice of chicken, some fish (preffered cause its really light) and I would consume some high and low GI carbs..... like eat some veges, a yam, and also have some pasta or white rice.
After the game I'd treat it like a PWO meal 2-1 dext to protein, ( I used to drink ultrafuel with a scoop of protein)
I played D1 for a few years.... so it was a high level, it seemed to work for me.
yea but how many grams of carbs before the game..i weigh 180 and usually shoot for 320-350 per day
