AVOIDING & RIDDIN EXCESS WATER RETENTION?

    hey everyone,
i have a 7-8% bodyfat right now, i have been on a cutt diet for 7 weeks, and have 4 weeks to go to the end.
i am disappointed with the definition in my arms and calves especially.
i asked a few trainers at a local fitness store, and my gym.. they gave me the same answer to my 'problem'..
they said, your definition may be lacking because of water retention buildup under the skin. (3 people gave me the same answer)
although i have not used creatine since i began this diet.
does anyone know how i can rid of this retained water under the skin, so that my decent bodyfat percentage can show the quality muscle i work so hard for.
any products? exercises? diet related things that i can do to improve my definition?

hopefully some of you can help me out on this one,
    thanks everybody!

How much water are you drinking? Improper hydration can cause you to retain more water...

    i am currently taking 36mg ephedrine/day & 400mg caffeine (diuretic right?)..
    2.5L-3L/day is an average consumption

    i reckon'd that was a healthy amount..

ok, thats high.. but fair, and easy to do.
whats your theory behind 'excessive' water intake, to rid water build-up under the skin?
just curious, it just doesnt click for me.. thats all...
ill giver a shot, for sure, i dont have anything to negatively get from this-i think

Nah, nothing too scientific.. just common sense...
When you aren't properly hydrated, your body retains water... simple as that...
The more you drink, and stay hydrated, the less water you should retain, and IMO it would likely help a bit...

    BUMP for more responses though

How much sodium are you eating?

What are you cutting up for? Is it a certain something you are preparing for? If so you can use taraxatone the week before your event and it will pull a lot of the water out of you for the event. It only lasts for a few days though.

More water in = more water out.

When you don't drink enough, the body senses it won't get any more, so it holds on to what it has.

taraxatone, high sodium, and lots of water.. 2-3 days before i hit the cruise?
would that workout for my abs? .. cuz they are coming along nicely, still have a few weeks to go, about 3-4 maybe..
recommended intake of sodium a day? water a day? and i cant find superb info on taraxatone, anyone know a good location for info on this product, i dont know anything about it, do be honest.

Any of you guys heard about sodium balance problems when drinking around 7 L or more of water a day?

I heard it can cause serious problems... Anybody able to confirm this?

contradicting info about how much water to drink.. hmm, what a kick in the butt. any big experts, like the lean jacked buddy with the pic .. does he have a say on this sodium dillio..
he recommended alot of water (best dirueretic) .. but good sodium levels are crucial...
    so whats the glory story.
    please inform me.

You would more than likely have a sodium imbalance from not drinking enough water. 1 even 2 gallons a day if your really active is perfectly safe and you will feel alot better.

    alright.. sounds good.
i just had got all my stats in: 5'10.5".. 203 pounds.. 6.9% bodyfat..
definition is getting better. noticeably. drinking alot of water (approx 6-7L/day easily)
can i heard there are some minerals/herbs etc. that excrete water from the body, for increased definition? anyone know what these are - and information on em?
what about preparation H, being applied to the skin to suck out water..
someone mentioned that to me, it sounded weird. so i thoguht i'd bring it through a larger group, and get a peice on it??
btw, thanks for the link to the thread - good stuff.

    thanks guys..
