Can someone take a look at my cutting diet?

I really want to get ripped for this coming summer and was wondering if you guys can take a look below at a sample day on my diet and tell me what you think. Thanks.

    8am: 6 egg whites , 1/2 cup plain oatmeal
10:30am: 1 can of tuna , 1 tbsp flax oil
1pm: 1 grilled chicken breast , mixed green salad
3:30pm: 1 can of tuna , 1 tbsp natty PB
    6:30pm: PWO whey shake = 34 g protien , 200 cal , 3g fat , 3g carbs
    8:00pm: 1 grilled chicken breast , 1/2 cup brown rice , broccolli

Keep in mind I really want to build lean mass for the summer. I am 26 yrs old , 5'10, 195lbs , 17% BF. I know that PWO should consist of Dex as well but will this hold me back from cutting being that it contains a boat load of carbs? Any input would be great. Thanks again!

Check the cutting sticky atop the page for a good general guide as you are missing a few key concepts.

As well, as long as your macros and layout are spot on for your size/stature, you MUST include carbs pwo in the form of a shake and another meal. Repairing of muscle does not stop nor change just because you are cutting. So yes, use dextrose!

Dex PWO is a must. Your body is in desperate need for protein/carbs after workout. It WILL NOT be turned into fat. So to your answer use dex cutting and bulking.

I only count about 1600 calories or so. I would up calories to 2300 on workout days and 2000 on cardio only days. If you do both in one day up calories to 2450. I would add 4 more eggs whites to meal 1, another half can of tuna to meal 2 and 4, add a serving on almonds to meal 3, and finally but most important add 50 grams of dextrose to pwo shake. This will bump your calories up to around 2100 give or take. On workout days just add about 10 more grams of protein to each meal and your good to go, as long as you have your workout sound and atleast 5 days of am cardio at 70% your max HR for 40-50 minutes.

That is why it's instructed to figure out your own KCAL needs and use the principles of the outline after you have done that.

1kcal = 1000 calories. The general population calls kcals "calories". So when you should be on a 3000 "calorie" per day diet, thats actually 3000 kcal or 3000000 calories.

www.kentnutrition.com is where you can get it online. Other than that you can get dex at any local store that sells supplies for people that like to make their own beer.
