    does cinnamon have calories in it?

    want to add it to oatmeal, but not if its sugary or somethig

    1 tbsp = 5g carbs, of which 4g is fiber. There is no sugar.

    In small amounts, it adds negligable calories. It's great to add to oatmeal as it is basically all dietary fiber.

    Real cinnamon comes from the bark of a tree( this is not the same as the stuff found in supermarkets).

    It's also made from the bark of a tree, just a different one.
