Unhappy PWO Shake late at night

I have been using 44g protien / 88g dex as a PWO shake. But I don't drink it until 9:30 at night. After I drink the thing I feel like I am pregnant. Then I am in bed by 10:30 or 11. I have put on a lot of bodyfat over the past few months, and I feel it is because of this. Can anybody offer me help? Should I take in less dextrose? Should I take something with the shake like Glucorell or ALCAR?

In all reality, it's ideal to consume TWO pwo carb/protein offerings, and you are only having one.

If you are getting fat, your entire diet needs attention, not just pwo.

Cool new avatar SC! As BS50, what time are you working out. Would it be possible to move it up several hours?

Swole, it is nice to finally interact with such a legend! I agree, I tend to cheat more than I should, but I have been dead on the last 10 days with my diet (no late night dex) and I feel much tighter. I respect your advice, but is it possible that I might need less Dex than maybe you??

Hot-Rox. For the next six months I workout around 8PM during the week. The funny this is that I am actually building a health club.

if you are taking the dex within minutes of last set then it will not result in fat.
it doesn't matter what time you workout your body needs the spike pwo.

That says it all right there, fix this problem ASAP.

One cheat meal/day a week is sufficient.

Thanks for the "legend" compliment, that has to be one of the top compliments I've received for sure.

I am not sure what your dex amount should be, but that shouldn't be getting you fat. As well, usually a second pwo meal follows that one, so you want to make sure you address that as well!

    PWO & PPWO...

    PWO: 2:1 pro/dex

PPWO: lean protein/carb such as brown rice, sweet potatoes

well.. experiment.. lower the dextrose to protein amount for a week.. see what it does for you..but definitely have PPWO meal.

Personally i use around 60:30 grams.. give or take... i use the optimum whey scooper.. and i take one full scoop an then one half scoop of protein an then same amount with dextrose.
