    Food weight after cooking?

I am wondering if cooked weight of food has the same amount of protein as the uncooked weight. ie, if uncooked shrimp is 17gr. of protein per 86g of shrimp is the protein the same if it only weighs 40g after cooking. This seems like a simple question but I want to make sure I am not cooking protein out of my food.
