    Some Diet help please.

Ok, im 18 years old natural 6'0 and currently weigh 195lbs at around 15% bf. Ive been working on a cutting diet but all i've ever done is bulk so im a little confused about putting together a cutting diet. This is what i've come up with so far.

    Cutting Diet

    5 Grams Glutamine
Cardio 45 Minutes to 1 Hour

Wait for 45-60 minutes after cardio before meal 1.

    Meal 1: Pro/Fat

    2 Scoops Whey 46g Pro 184 Cal
    50 Grams Nuts 20g Fat 180 Cal

(Are all nuts a good source of fats or should I specifically use almonds ?)

    Meal 2: Pro/Fat

200 Grams Chicken or Beef 43g Pro 172 Cal
2 Tablespoons Peanut Butter 15g Fat 135 Cal

(I have some peanut butter but im not sure what the difference is between natural peanut butter and others. The ingredients contained in what I have are: “Roasted peanuts (94%), Palm Oil, Sugar, Salt”)

    Meal 3: Pro/Fat

200 Grams Chicken or Beef 43g Pro 172 Cal
    50 Grams Nuts 20g Fat 180 Cal

(Could 20g of fat be too much ?)

    Meal 4: Pro/Fat

    2 Scoops Whey 46g Pro 184 Cal
    +
1 Desert Spoon Udo Oil 9g Fat 81 Cal

    Meal 5: Pro/Carb

1 Cup Brown Rice 75g Carb 300 Cal
200 grams Chicken or Beef 46g Pro 184 Cal

    WORKOUT:

    60-90 Minutes

    PWO: Nlarge 2 52g Pro / 87 Carb 556 Cal (:s too much ???)

(This is what im using at the moment Im assuming pro/dextrose is better with 2:1 ratio. Are there any other names for dextrose I haven’t seen it around in the UK)

    PPWO:

1 Cup Brown Rice 75g Carb 300 Cal
200 Grams Chicken or Beef 43g Pro 172 Cal

    Meal 6: Pro/Fat

    2 Scoops Whey 46g Pro 184 Cal
    +
Udo Oil 9g Fat 81 Cal

    Totals:

    Pro: 365 1460 Cal
    Carb: 237 948 Cal
    Fat: 73 657 Cal

    3065 Cal

Ok, so this comes to 3065 calories way too much for cutting. Could I have some advice on which meals would be good to cut calories. I was thinking maybe make meal 5 a pro/fat since theres 300 calories just from carbs in there right now. Would I have enough energy to workout ? I also thought I should add some broccoli in there somewhere maybe have a whole egg or 2 at breakfast instead of the nuts.

Any constructive criticism would be much appreciated. Sorry for the huge list of questions in there. I hope the diet isn’t so bad its too much work for anyone to improve it.

natural PB only contains peanuts and salt....or sometimes only peanuts. Dextrose is corn sugar. Check out the diet cutting sticky at the top of the page. It will give you a general overview on cutting and how to diet accordingly. Hope this helps bro.

Ok thanks, I have been reading the sticky and other cutting threads. My main concern has been losing muscle and probably over did the carbs becuase of it. In the cutting sticky for PPWO theres half a cup of brown rice so i'll make my PPWO half a cup too.

I would make "Meal 5" a pro/fat but then again i am not sure how long you are going to wait before lifting?

Your main source of carbs will come from PWO & PPWO...

a full cup of brown rice is double what you should take in at any pro carb meal.

PS- add some veges to your diet so you dont have an anyorism taking a dump.

Also I think on a cutting diet you want your fats around 10-15 gms per meal on a pro fat, 20 is toomuch

I was exatly your stats bro 3 weeks ago and since I am lsing exactly 1 1/2 pounds week and reataining all mass and getting sronger in the gym. Rotate calories. Eat 10-10 1/2 times weight on cardio days and 11-12 times weight on cardio/weight days. On my cardio only days I make my second meal after cardio with more saturated fat (i.e. bacon, sausage etc..) and it keeps me motivated. Days (Sunday) where I do nothing I will have 75 grams of carbs (oats) for breakfast then p/f rest of day.

Yeh I might be starting a new job soon so im not all that sure about the times i'll be eating all of those meals it depends on what time I can go for breaks with the job. I usually lift around an hour after my pre workout meal, sometimes less maybe 40 minutes or so.

Well anyway thanks for the feedback everyone much appreciated. Making some adjustments on the diet now looking for foods that I will actually like that I could use for fats other than nuts. Only want to use the udo oil right before bed ideally since it tastes like crap.
