Is maltodextrin neccesary?

for my PWO shake, i have dextrose.. is MALTODEXTRIN actually neccesary.. i've only seen it recommended in a few places...


also, when i put in 2 scoops of protein and have to put in 4 of dextrose.. it seems rather excessive and the amount thats in there is more disgusting than flax oil.. anyone else see the same way?

Dextrose only is fine/preferable. If you have a problem with the taste try adding sugar free kool-aid or something similar.

i love my pwo shake with dextrose!!! it satisfies my sugar cravings that I get sometimes
