boars head
Is it healthy to consume deli meats.....i just had a half of pound of honey turkey, what does everyone think? BTW, i just ate the meat no bread.

depending on the brand it can be ok...most have a lot of additives and preservatives. i know regular boar's head is good, but anything that is honey glazed probably has additional sugar in it. stick with regular smoked turkey with no nitrates and you should be fine.

roughly, how many g's of protein does a half of pound of turkey have?

Half a pound = 8oz, and turkey has the highest protein content out of all the lean meats. I believe it would around 45-55g of protein.

Boars head is fine to eat for a lean meat. Just make sure its the low salt turkey. the Roast beef only comes 1 way and its low salt too. I was eating those 2 items as my 3rd meal of the day for 6 weeks and i lost 9% body fat so i am sure its fine.
