alternatives to oatmeal

hey do you guys know of any good sources of complex carbs that have the nutritional value relatively close to that of oatmeal, but are easy to make and wouldnt take a lot of preperation?

im a college student and dont exactly have the time to be cooking fancy meals all the time and am tryin to find an alternative to just eating oatmeal


maybe brown rice cakes?

anyways if you guys know of anything thats low sugar and low salt id like to know

If you have water and a microwave in the dorm or whatever, that's all u need.

Swolecat is right on. Get the old fasioned oats in the largest container they sell. Put 1/2 cup in a cereal bowl, add water. Put it into the microwave for 80 seconds and you are done. Doesn't get any easier than that. Add a pack of splenda if your diet allows for it.

well yeah i mean i do that all the time, its just eating the same thing over and over gets old ya know?

i just wodnered if you knew of anything else so i can add a lil variety

try some whole wheat bread or bagels... goes good with peanut butter too

Brown rice, Sweet potatoes, Wheat bread (if you must)... Honestly, bro, just suck it up and eat your oats like the rest of us.

Screw the water, i eat oatmeal out of the bag.

my bag has straps for my ears,

i actually saw this big ole bag of apple oats, i didn t have time to check it out
maybe i ll pick some up next weekend and post the specs--looked a lil like a sugar cereal but we shall see
