At 25 cents a can, I assume that's not Albacore. Albacore is all I can eat or I will heave. Currently Safeway has "Starkist" solid white Albacore for $1.00 a can, this is the cheapest I ever see it. Safeway also has a sale about once a month on chicken breast at about $1.00 a piece - I stock up then.

Nice deal you got from the restaurant, I never knew they would do something like that.

Jeebus...must be nice to afford $1 can of tuna....i buy at least 12 cans a week, that would kill my budget.

I buy my chicken in bulk at Albertson's. I get 20lbs. at a time, and the guy there gives it to me for $1.39 a pound.... such a steal. Also, it's fresh chicken, and hasn't been frozen like the flat little pieces of chicken in the big bags at Sams.

Tell me you eat all 20 lbs before it goes bad in the fridge and never have to freeze any of it. That would be a noteworthy accomplshment.

****, that actually would be something. No, I cut all 20lbs. into single breasts and trim all of the fat off. I keep 4 breasts in the fridge for 2 days max before grilling, and freeze the rest. Sometimes, I will throw the marinade on the chicken before freezing, which works awesome if you've never tried it.
