    pasturized egg whites

    im going to pick up this egg beaters carton -- my question is if i drank this raw will it still absorb or would cooking it be better for absorption

    Well, this is a confusing subject....its going to be differnt for different foods.

    It all just depends on the protien and the tempature. Some will become more bioavalible and some less. I would hazzard to guess that cooking an egg makes digestion take longer. But im certian that it is all digested anyway. But im sure eggs is so readily diegestable in general it wont make to big a difference. I would do what tastes better.

    well. i think u absorb more when raw, cooking it kills so protein... right?

    Nope, the other way around. When you cook them, they become MORE bio-available.

    so i guess buying them to drink them is pointless? should i just stick to shelled eggs? (for better pro?)
