I know raw egg whites are pretty safe... but is 3 dozen a day pushing it?
I love drinking raw egg whites because of how convenient it is and because I have grown tired of most of the other things I eat. Lately I've been drinking 12 whites (w/ half cup of milk, shaken up) three times a day. I am wondering if it's okay to eat this many?
As far as salmonella goes, I read that about 1 in every 30,000 eggs will have it. So if I eat 3 dozen egg whites a day, that's 13,104 egg whites a year, which means I probably won't get salmonella for 2.29 years. I like those odds.
Think I'll be okay eating that many?
