Thread: More carbs?

Im sure you guys can help me out on this one. I have a new job which requires me to perform physcial fitness which includes a min of a 2mile run (sometimes more) 5days a week and about 25 mins of calastitics. My problem here is should I be takin in more carbs ? My main goal is to shed mostly fat without losing too much muscle. Here is my layout of what I have been doin andy advice would be appreicated:
My running/cal is usually 4pm or later depends(no later than 930pm)
930am Breakfast: Pro/carb
Work Im not allowed to eat but I snack on almonds etc
On days weeks where ruuning/cal is later in the day I have a pro/carb meal
On my non lifting days I consume Pro/fat meal in place or workout.

how quick is the pace of the run???
the faster the more carbs you need as a percent of calories to prevent muscle protein breakdown...
it all depends on the intensity of the activity, if it is exremely slow paced then your carb intake should stay moderate for cutting... i'm a big fan of carbs and protein with very low fats (2-3 tablespoons of flax a day as well) while i cut, some people aren't... it all depends on your body...

its at a good pace like 10min mile nad a half I would say
