    Either is fine....

Eating a pro/fat meal allows you to eat sooner. Wait 15-20 mins after finishing cardio.
Eating a pro/carb meal provides the energy I need for the day. Wait 45 mins or so after cardio before ingesting.

Some implement a pro/fat meal while other choose pro/carb.

I personally have a pro/fat meal 45 minutes after AM cardio.

Why is it you only have to wait 15-20 mins after cardio if you eat a pro/fat meal and 45 mins if you eat pro/carb ? Something to do with lipolysis ?

    Yes, that's why.....

Carbs will spike your insulin ... which will halt lipolysis.
