Fellas,
Awhile back I remember reading somewhere that eating pork (even the lean cuts) was an awful protein source. Something about how pigs are scavengers and eat any and everything etc etc. Anyways has anyone here heard simliar things or do ya'll eat pork on a regular basis?

I'm a scavenger dude...I eat whatever meat I can find. I like to switch up my protein sources for the sake of sanity. Mostly beef and chicken, but I have a little pork here and there.
Pigs are pretty disgusting, but there are very lean cuts and it is full of protein (and tastes awesome) It doesn't matter what they eat because their body breaks it down, it's not like you're eating exactly what they are eating. A lot of the prejudice comes from ancient times when people wpould get sick and die from sp? triconosis. Because the animals were very filthy. Now the animals are monitored for that and it is almost unheard of for someone to become ill from pork. The old prejudices were in fact a good thing but are outdated today.
I've never heard of that. Pork tenderloin is very lean and really yummy. I just made one a couple weeks ago with some boiled cabbage and a warm apple compote (made with splenda of course). It was awesome.
if u cook pork and look at it under a microscope there is bacteria and parasites ....the pig is a nasty animal and the meat is sketchy in my book
if you look at any meat there will be bacteria
exactly and chickens are worse than pigs... chickens eat each other and there own eggs..oh and they eat their own shiit too, pigs dont..............they eat other things' shiit hahahahahahaQuote:
