Carbs speed the metabolism period. But why would you be eating low GI carbs throughout the whole day? Are you bulking or cutting?

High GI Carbs cause insulin spike causing fat storage ... complex(slower digesting) carbs taking longer to use and then insulin released is less.

Metabolism is very important, although I do agree with you about not storing fat. I am just thinking this post was more of a clean carb up day re-charges metabolism question. No worries good advice all around

well then personally i would say grazing on complex carbs would create highest possible metabolism from dietary standards.. IMO along w/ mandatory efa's and protein.

so then carbs located high on the glycemic index will speed the metabolism the most??? i also read that the 2 types of carbs do not affect metabolism as long as your body is not in a caloric deficit, and you are also getting the required amount of daily carbs for your specific body type and your daily activities... butim still in the dark a bit about it!

How high the GI of a product is has nada to do w/how it stimulates your metabolism.
It does have to do w/how it stimulates your insulin production.

so no matter if you take in 300g/high GI carbs, or 300g/low GI carbs your metabolism will remain the same...?
