    Post Workout Meal

    was up guys

    I would like to know what you think about my post workout meal plan.

    HERE IT IS:

    4 cups fat free milk
    4 egg whites
    2 small scoops ice cream
    25g whey
    2 teaspoons olive oil

    Personally I dont like it. Why drink low fat milk? I assume the ice cream is to add sugar - was that your intent? Low fat milk then high fat cream and sugar.

    I would stick with the old standby of protien drink, and a lot of guys here use dextrose in addition. I am sure that they will chime in with the proportions.

    Is this directly after you workout? Or PPWO?

    For PWO, you want high gi carbs (preferable dextrose) and lean protein (such as whey).....

    A 2:1 ratio of Dextrose to Whey, so roughtly 80-90g of dex, and 40-45g of whey, within the first 15mins after you stop weights.....

    For Post Post Workout (PPWO) you want low gi carbs such as oats/yams/rice, and a lean source of protein (such as chicken, steak, lean beef)... about an hour or hour and a half after your PWO shake...

    What you have presented is very poor IMO....

    yeah, if that's a PWO meal, that wouldn't be good IMO... you should have no fat in the PWO meal and i see you have ice cream and 2 spoons of olive oil.
