Okay, what are the good milk substitutes out there? Things to keep in mind: price, low sugar, low carbs, good quality.

i dunno...soy?
Water.
Soy might be a feasible option...but the water?? Dude,...that totally defeats the purpose of having a convenient, chuggable source of protein. But thanks for the op anyways.Quote:

If you are looking for liquid, get a pro powder and some water. Or use crystal light and a fruit flavored protein.

Ohhhh protein powder. Yes, I've heard of that. And yes, I also use it. Protein powder is a viable option, but not for what I'm looking for. I want something similar to milk.Quote:

Why milk? First off, I can take it out of the fridge, pour myself a big glass, then chug 16 grams of protein in 3.5 seconds. I also don't have to worry about mixing it like I do a shake. I don't think I've used one protein powder that actually tasted good...except maybe myoplex...but it tastes so much better with milk. Maybe I should just forget a milk substitute and stick with having to mix annoying protein shakes whenever I want to drink some protein.Quote:

and u asked for a powder, but u already said its too much of a nuisance to mix a protein shake so mixing a milk drink would be equally troublesome
of course u could wash a milk jug, add some protein powder and shake it up w/ water then bam fast protein drink all day :)
Muscle Milk.

When you chug 16 grams of protein in 3.5 secs, you also chug about 26 grams of carbs, all of which are pure SUGAR. (LACTOSE = MILK SUGAR)
Far from ideal for a protein supplement.
In this game, people usually sacrifice a lot and go out of their way to accomplish goals. Mixing a protein shake PALES in comparison to some of the sacrifices that are made to reach goals. It's all dependent upon your level of dedication and what is really important to you.

Okay okay. You guys bring up some pretty good points. I guess I was looking for convenience straight out of the bottle, but like you said Swole, "It's all dependent upon your level of dedication and what is really important to you."
Bye milk... :(
Good deal, you'll see the difference in your overall appearance and physique when you use a good protein powder with water in place of milk, and throw in some healthy fats instead of the sugar (that was in the milk)

Thanks for the link derek, I'll check it out. Also, Swole, with the huge selection of companies that sell the "best" protein powder, what brand would you suggest?
I use ATW or Optimum myself as I am sponsored by ATW.
The Hood Carb Countdown products taste good, yes, but they are not a protein supplement.

hmmm...derek, I think the new one is shiddy too.
