pre workout meal
i get home around 6 from work i have some chicken with a potatoe= a pro/carb meal , nap for an hour and get to the gym around 8, is the meal i ate at 6 good enough to provide energy for my workout at 8 or should i eat something else when i wake up from a little nap at 7:30 before going to the gym at 8? thanks for all help

id say have a protein shake with water 45mins before you lift

fat free cottage cheese
or drink a protein shake w/ some chopped up oats in it 45min before lifting.

so are you guys saying that the chicken and potatoe i eat at 6 is not enough if i am working out at 8? thanks

i would choose a better carb but chicken would be fine.. i would try to go w/ barely, oats, but thats prolly cuz im racist towards potato's and all potato products =/

It kind of depends on your goals. I think your 6 meal is fine. I don't have any carbs (except for dex pwo) after 11AM and I workout between 3 & 5PM. My last meal is probably two hours before I lift and is pro/fat. I am also cutting so it depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
