    Dizzy Spells

For the past 4 or 5 days I've been having some pretty serious dizzy spells. They occur usually when I stand up or when I sit up from laying down, but last night I got a pretty serious one when I laid down in bed. Here's my diet. Is anything missing that would be causing this?

    Lifting days:
    6:30: CARDIO
    8:00: 4 egg whites, 2 yolks
    11:30: tuna, mayo, veggies
    3:00: lean turkey/chicken, flax
    3:30: mega pak vitamins
    5:00: LIFT
    5:45: protein/dex
    7:00: chicken, yam, veggies
    10:00: tuna, mayo

    Non-Lifting days:
    6:30: CARDIO
    8:00: 4 egg whites, 2 yolks
    11:30: tuna, mayo, veggies
    3:00: lean turkey/chicken, flax
    3:30: mega pak vitamins
    6:00: chicken, flax, veggies
    10:00: tuna, mayo

I've lost 16 pounds in the last 5 weeks so I think things are on track as far as fat loss. But the dizzy spells are concerning me. Any thoughts?

i'd say drop the cardio at least for a little while, get more rest, drink more water maybe take your multivitamin earlier in the day.

i dono are you sure this is from your diet tho?

    see a doctor for sure

Sounds like low blood sugar. Perhaps try a carb/pro meal in the a.m. after cardio (40 mins or so after) and perhaps a small pro/carb meal in the late afternoon/evening as one of your meals on off days. If in the proper amounts (use the same cals as the current fat/pro meal) it's not going to ruin you fat loss goals. It may even improve them and give you more energy, keep your metabolism a bit higher, etc.

I'm not dropping my cardio. I drink a gallon of water per day minimum. And no, I'm not sure it's my diet.

It could be low blood sugar, but i'd check with a doctor just to be sure. It could also be a host of other things that may have nothing to do with diet.

it could be low blood sugar, you could even be hypoglycemic
if this continues go to the doctor, or go to a drug store and get a blood sugar tester for 25 bux and take it throughout the day to see if you're low...

Is it possible to get hypoglycemia from the pro/dex shake after workout? Having your blood sugar levels raise by alot and causing your body to increase insulin levels.

I want my insullin levels increased at that time. I'm pretty sure I'm neither hyper or hypoglycemic. Thanks to all for your ongoing input.
