70% of your carbs should come from morning and post workout meals, taper your carbs as you go through the day the last two meals should be vegetables instead of carbs. and eat mainly low glycemic carbs, the only time a insulin spike is benefical is after a workout.salt makes you retain water so if your cutting watch your sodium intake

Why should 70% of your carbs be in the morning? I eat almost all of my carbs in the late afternoon and evening and I'm doing fine.

abcbodybuilding??? It's against the rule to bash other sites, otherwise I would have some choice comments.

Rice cakes, no, they are high GI. Some use them for after a workout immediately, but I prefer dextrose.

Good carbs are oatmeal, yams, sweet potatoes, rice, etc.

just curious, but would regular potatoes fall into this category of "good carbs" as well or not?

Yes, they are "good" carbs, as they are a "clean" carb food.

Now, the issue is that they are on the high end of the high gi food list, so their inclusion must be used usually during the PPWO time-frame. Some utilize them when bulking however w/lean meats at other times of the day, but usually stick to lower-gi carbs when cutting if carbs are eaten at any other time other than that of the PPWO offering.
