Is My Diet the problem?
hey guys, ive been working really hard and ive seen to be stuck on the same size arms. my weight is going up but not all that much. i was seeing if maybe someone can add something to my diet or tell me what to take out, so i can GROW! i know my workout is fine, its already been critiqued on here, well heres my diet... tell me what you think! this is not cutting, im trying to gain weight!
stats are 5'9 160
10:00- glass of milk, oatmeal, and a banana
12:00- 2-3 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
3:00- 2 or 4 scoop shake, cyto gainer or Ham/cheese sandwhich
6:00- Dinner(whatever parents make, usually chicken, or steak, and heathy veggies)
9:00- oatmeal, milk
11:00- 2 or 4 scoop shake(depends on how much i take in at 3:00)
*i thought i was eating a lot, but now that i look at it, it looks like nothing!! my shakes are 900 calories and 56grams of protein!

your diet is a big problem IMO. Not enough protein, you are eating the wrong things with the wrong things and way too much milk. drop the milk and pb&js. and how is your shake 900 calories and only 56g of protein????

dunno, its cyto gainer, it says 4 scoops is 900 calories and 56grams of protein. ya i actually usually eat lean chicken sandwhich everyday as well and usually egg whites.

It may not be the only factor, but it's certainly a contributor!
The above is a tried and true approach to bulking.

ya ive read this, but i cant afford that many shakes and what not. its hard being a college student, trying to afford all this, but i guess if you want to grow, its going to cost!

Keep in mind, that real food costs more than whey powder does...
If you want to grow BIG, you're going to have to eat BIG!

Tuna is cheap dude... .50 a can or so, eat 1 1/2 of those along with some carbs or fats and youve got yourself a meal.
Think of it as an investment in a bigger, better you

Yes, your diet IS the issue.
Example: PB&J sandwiches as a meal won't do jack diddly sh*t in attaining new muscle.
I'd make the changes ASAP.

not enuff lean meats to much milk and the only real efa's you get are from your peanut butter sandwhiches but i doubt those are ALL NATTY. so i would say 0 efa's moderate amount of complex carbs and slim to none on quality protein. barely adaquate for maintaining.

ya i figured that was the problem, im going to start adding tuna 2 times a day. im trying to write down some stuff and ill post up my new diet for a critique, thanks a lot everyone

ya everyday i eat some kind of meat. if i dont get meat, then ill have some chicken breast or something. i mean the diet i have right now has got me from 128 to 160, so i know its wrong, but im doing something half right. 5 months ago i was at 128, now im 160.. im going to throw in some tuna and what not, and try to eat a lot more.
