    Dextrose Question

Just a quick clarification so my numbers add up. My Dex package doesn't have carbs listed but instead just has sugars (g). Is one gram of suger equivalent to one carb?

If I'm taking in 40 grams whey PWO I'll take in 80 grams sugar.

yes, dextrose is gram for gram simple carb
    80g of dex = 80g of carbs

I believe the protein scoops are around 30g (most anyway) times 3 = 90g

be careful doing it that way b/c the protein may weigh more or less than the dex therefore a 30g scoop of protein may not be equivallent to the same scoop full of dex

the scoop should be measured in grams (1 serving size)
for instance: my ON scoop is 29.4g. however one scoop is only 23g of protein.
the same scoop of dextrose would be 29.4g of dex. see what i'm saying?

yes i see what you are saying, but think about this... If you fill a scoop up with water and weigh it and it says 50 grams. That does not mean that if you fill the scoop up with feathers it will weigh 50 grams.

i'm sure there is not much difference between the weight of protein and dex, but that was just a thought.

    not arguing with u...
but there is unless you have pure protein powder. Most protein you buy is between 70-80% pure protein hence all the BCAAs and glutamine and other sh!t in it. dextrose is dextrose is dextrose... i'm off 2 tha gym

its cool bro i know you are not arguing with me, but i am just saying that just b/c the serving size of the protein is 27 grams in a scoop, that doesnt mean that when that scoop is full of dextrose that it has 27 grams in it b/c of the difference in weight between the two products. BUT i am sure that is i pretty close estimate if you want to measure that way.

Look i just did this for like the 30th time.
in 1 reg protein scooper that seems to be universal to me in all protein powders holds 15 teaspoons of dextrose which comes out to be 12 servings of dextrose which is like 4 carbs per serving? so its 12x4=48 so 2 scoops of a reg protein scoop yeilds 96 carbs of dex now i have like 16 protein scoops from like 5 different protein ON,Dym,Solid,Some retarded brand, and even a nitrotech one. they all seem same size to me so... im confused... again.
these are all 100% Whey protein powders that fallow the 22-23g per scoop.

although they are 22-23g protein per scoop, that doesnt mean that 1 scoop is 22-23 grams in mass. My protein has 23 grams of protein in a 28 gram scoop. But if you have tested it and come up w/ those numbers then it is probably right, b/c that proves that a 28 gram scoop of protein equals about a 48 gram scoop of dex.(if your calculations are right)

yeah no kidding and it all deals w/ density if your trying to do grams instead of volume.
