tuna ?
i am cutting following something similiar to cutting sticky. My ? IS. I like a tuna that they sell that comes in a can and it is packed in olive oil. it says it has no carbs about 36 grams of protein and about 15 fat. As long as this meets my calorie guidlines, is this a good meal to have for a p/f meal

but someone might have a reason as to why to avoid it.

From a nutritional standpoint there's nothing wrong with including it as your p/f meal.
But it's a pretty pitiful meal at that... I'd get sick of tuna real fast that way.

Do they sell tuna in olive oil? I thought it was always vegetable oil....
Be sure not to drain it if you want the full fat benefits of it.

I found a tuna made by "Pacifico Azul" that has jalapeno and carrot in it...**** good. 135 calories, 30 g protein, 1.5 g fat, 1 g carbohydrate.

88 pennies...not too bad considering tuna in water goes for around 50-55 cents. And this stuff I can eat straight out of the can, it doesn't dry rot your mouth.

The most common canned tuna in my grocery store is either canned in water or canned in vegetable oil. Thought the vegetable oil was bad fat and that's why i'm eating the canned tuna packed in water. Am I mistaken about the vegetable oil?

Figured that too, but just wanted to double check as 1 of the main reasons I eat tuna is the good fat needed. Haven't seen tuna packed in olive oil on any shelves and i've looked around at many places. Starkist, Chicken of the Sea, etc are either packed in water or vegetable oil, which I think veg oil is bad fat. So, I have been using canned tuna in water only, guess i'm doing it right.

as long as you balance out your good fats with your bad fats then its fine to have it in veggie oil
