    Quetion on net carbs

I bought these low carb taco wraps to make turkey wraps for a miday snack. It says that they are 7 net carbs on the front, but on the back it says that each serving, which is 1 wrap is 18 grams of carbs. I read on the package that you can deduct the fiber from the carbs to get the net carbs. Does this mean when I am planning my diet, I only use the net carbs? I want to keep my carbs low for my cutting diet and just want to make sure that I count my carbs correctly.

You basicly have it right. Since fiber is not digested by the body, it passes through, there is no need to include it in your net carb count.

true but just because its 7 net carbs doesnt dictate what Type of carbs they are... wheather it be a wholsome whole grain type or a white flour starch but hell 7 is low shudnt matter unless u eat like 5 of them.

yep oh wow ONLY 6 CARBS (lil do they know... its pure white starchy carbs mixed w/ some wholegrain fiber as filler to reduce carb but still maintaining a realitively high gi count when consumed in mass quantities) i can eat 6! of them!

Thanks guys. I am only going to be eating one of these a day for a mid day meal loaded with turkey and a few peppers. I am replacing the bread that I eat with the wrap.

Actually, it's the fiber in whole grains that make them low GI, so adding fiber to refined flour in fact reduces the GI.

He said it reduces the GI, but that it's still relatively high because of the white starchy carbs.
