Thread: caloric intake

I am currently in a cutting phase, but still eating tons of protein and some carbs. I figured it just a second ago that on a daily basis I take in around 1750 calories a day (give or take a few). Do you think is enough to maintain the most muscle or should I bump it up to an even 2000?

How much do you weigh? I'm pretty light(180lb) and I maintain at about 2500 cal. I tried dropping down that much one time(1500cal) and my body went into starvation mode. I lost a hell of a lot of strength and it got to the point were I was'nt even burning any fat. Everyone's different but counter productivity is a serious bitch.
