    Counting Protein/Fat per meal

Just wanted to see how everyone else does it....

If you are aiming for a meal with 50g Protein and 14g of Fat (for example) and you have a chicken breast and almonds for that meal......

do you count the protein in the almonds towards the total protein amount and use less chicken breast to get the 50g? Same applies for peanut butter? What about other fat sources that also contain protein?

And while the chicken breast is a lean source of protein, do you factor it into the total fat amount for the meal?

Nuts are incomplete proteins so I do not count them towards my intake.

I don't count any protein like that. as in your example, i would only count the protein in the chicken breast.

    thanks for the info

I just thought that by not counting everything you are taken in more total calories and that would add up after a while
