the last thread bout milk
yeah milk is bad has simple sugars and so on but i read from many sources that the glycemic index is 35-39 so how is that bad?
btw since i started my own thread
if x has a GI of 10
if u consume 100 grams of x it would be like consuming 1kilo the insulin response would be the same or would it be higher when the quantity increases??

It's not so much the GI, it's that the entire carb content is pure sugar. That's not good no matter what the GI.

0% fat would prob be worse,as far as gi. It's the fat that would give it a lower gi. But then again, you would be mixing fats and carbs.... dammt, just listen to swole!

So I assume a gi of 10 means that the product will cause the release of 1/10 of the ammount of insulin the same ammount of carbs from white bread would.
swole I have never realy understood what is the difference betwen a simple sugar with the gi of 30 or so and something like brown rice that has a gi of say 45-50(cant remember). What makes the brown rice better if looked upon as a carb source alone(not taking into account the fibers and minerals in the rice). If only considering fat metabolism.
