daily protein intake
been reading alot on this topic lately, and what im reading is that a human body that is active and also weight trains only neeeds 1g of protein per 1lb of lean body mass. what do you guys think about this?
It kind of makes sense to me, the only thing that i think would be beneficial in taking this lower daily protein diet is to make casein protein a major source of protein to allow for a steady release of aminos. Also you'd be able to up the carbs in the diet, allowing your muscle to look fuller and also possibly improve strength during lifting, but again keeping the daily caloric intake just slightly above maintance for building and slightly lower for cutting...so what do you guys think about this topic? im not swaying to either side yet but still use about 50% pro in my diet, just curious to see what you think about this???

I prefer 40% protein in my diet, no less and no more.

1 gram per lb. of BW is absurd by my standards.
