    How to microwave a potato??

    hey guys lol i wanna microwave a potato to rediness :P BAKED preferably hehe but i dont want anything to explode.. how would i go upon this? what kinda plate? and how long and should i do any cuts on the potato itself?

    poke holes in the POT with a fork and wrap it in a paper towel and if it is a regular size pot then heat it for 5 mins. You're done!

    I think you have to soak the paper towel first... Never nuked russet potatoes in the microwave before, but i know sweet potatoes you have to soak the paper.

    I just wash the potatoe, no matter what kind it is and wrap it in the paper towel

    Soaking the pap towel will help. Gives a "steaming" effect, will help it cook more evenly and quickly.

    I never wrap the potatoe in a towel and mine come out great I do however wrap them in foil for 2 mins after cooking and it has a similar effect

    wash it...wrap plastic wrap around it and nuke for 7 minutes...don't poke holes in it!
