Cant find answer. EFA's make you fat?
Ok I know EFAs actually help with fatloss, BUT,
EFA are 10calories per gram intake just like any other fat. So if you take a lot, like 30grams a day (I read some people take in 70gr a day!) then its 30gramsX10 = 300 fat calories a day right there alone.
Calories are calories, so how could EFAs not make you fat?

1. its 9 cals per gram
2. you have to look at total calories per day (including protein and carbs)
3. understand how EFAs are utilized in the body and how important they are (hense ESSENTIAL fatty acids)
it is not the same as taking in 300 cals of saturated or trans fats. the body absolutely needs these fats for healthy function

Best rule of thumb IMO is that too much of ANYTHING except water can make you fat. It's all about balancing.

Well, i know theyre healthier...
But healthy isnt what im asking. Theyre conversion to fat on the body is what im asking.
So what im asking is will they be stored like any other fat may be stored, no matter how healthy they may be for the body.

calories are not all created equaly dude...Good EFA"s would be Fish, flax or olive oil and all natural peanut butter aint bad either...as long as is has no hydronated oils and no to minimal Saturated fat you will be ok you want to be looking for Monounsaturated and Polyunsaturated Fats ok...any given athlete that spends 5 to 6 days a week training should be takeing down any were from 30-50 grams of EFA's

EFAs can be stored just like any other fat.
It's not smart to go nuts with EFAs, too much is just as bad as too little.

A lot of guys take it with their last meal b/c the fats help to slow down digestion. That allows for the protein they eat prior to bed to be utilized by the body slower and helps promote a non catabolic environment after several hours of fasting.
