    Protein

    I have a question regarding protein shakes...Ok i have allthewhey pure isolate..Now i understand that this is better protein because it is absorbed faster/better...My question is would just regular (not isolate) be better for every other protein shake intake other then pwo? ...like before I go to bed since it takes longer to be absorbed?

    thats what I do. I cant say if it is better but my pockets arent as deep because of it.

    Except PWO, you want to have slow disgesting proteins because of the prolonged anabolic properties that they have. In other words, these proteins will keep you in an anabolic state for much longer than whey. I believe whey takes about 30-45 minutes to absorb/digest.

    Now, during the day you want to have slow digesting proteins and especially at night. Eggs are very good along with fish, chicken, lean beef.

    Before going to bed you can have any protein you want except whey. And also add some fat to it, to slow down release even more. That way you can get an anabolic effect for up to 4 hours.

    you can do 2 things.. add some flax oil or almonds in to slow digestion when you take your shake.. or get a blend like trueprotein.com casein protein which is slow digesting..
